Delivery & Shipping

  • Delivery & ShippingDelivery Areas: We deliver across our specified zones in Wales and surrounding areas.

  • Delivery Times: Standard delivery times are usually within  2–7 business days from order confirmation (dependant on your zone) 

  • Offloading: Due to the weight and nature of timber products, delivery is curbside only. Please ensure suitable access and assistance are available on the day of delivery.

We calculate delivery charges based on your distance from our yard via your postal code. Our delivery zones and rates are as follows:

  • Zone 1: 0 to 5 miles- £5.00

  • Zone 2: 5 to 20 miles -£10.00

  • Zone 3: 20 to 30 miles - £20.00

  • Zone 4: 30 to 50 miles - £50.00

Our Position on Returns

Wood Store NW Limited (trading as Wood Store Wales) sells natural timber and wood products. Timber is a natural material that can be affected by environmental conditions such as moisture, humidity, and temperature changes. Once delivered, we cannot guarantee the condition of a product that has been stored or used incorrectly outside.

Bespoke & Custom-Cut Items:

Please note that items made to your specific measurements, custom-treated, or cut-to-size to your requirements are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind return policy. These items cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty or damaged upon delivery.

Standard Stocked Items:

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you purchase standard, non-customised stocked items online, you have the right to cancel and return your order for any reason within 14 days of delivery. Once we receive your returned item, we will process your refund within 7 days.

  • Condition: Items must be completely unused, unaltered (not cut or treated), and stored correctly so they remain in a resalable condition.

  • Return Costs: The customer is responsible for the cost and arrangement of returning standard items to our yard. Given the bulk and weight of timber, please ensure you check all specifications before ordering.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

Whilst we do not accept returns for bespoke & custom-cut items, or products that have been stored incorrectly, we take full responsibility for goods that arrive:

 

  • Damaged in transit

  • Faulty or defective

  • Significantly not as described

How to Initiate a Return

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with the following:

 

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs of the damage or fault

 

We will review your request and arrange either a replacement, repair, or full refund at no cost to you.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected by our team to ensure it is in its original condition, we will process your refund. Approved refunds will be applied to your original method of payment within 7 days.

Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it. However, please note that this right may not apply to bespoke or custom-cut timber orders made to your specification, or products damaged due to inproper storage.
